Just out of curiosity what happens at the audition? And when it comes to singing is it based on talent or more on your willingness to make a spectacle of yourself?Without even looking into it, I would say "willingness to make a spectacle," because that's what Coldstone's tip songs are all about.
No surprise, then: that's what Coldstone managers are looking for, too.
"We wait until we have six or more (applicants), and then we invite them to an audition," Self said.So there you have it. Research proves that Coldstone wants workers with a sprinkle of musical talent and a large scoop of self-esteem.
In these auditions, applicants must go through ice-breaker exercises.
"After they have become comfortable with each other, they break up into groups and either write a song or use one that we already have and perform a skit based on that," he said. "Mostly, we are looking for people who are willing to be personable, not necessarily good singers."

Haha... hmm well now and again you find some really awesome people behind the counter who can lift the crabby-ness out of people by singing some song and making a complete fool out of themselves... Oh and the kids just LOVE IT!
