Wednesday's game-winning single was just an appetizer. Yuniesky Betancourt knocked in 4 against the Red Sox, including a 3-run shot off Jon Lester in the 3rd. Adam Jones, in his game this season, went 2-4 with two big runs. (Since we played against an East Coast team, ESPN has video, too.) The 7-4 victory, along with an Oakland win in Anaheim, puts us 2.5 back in the West against the Angels.
We'd better strike hard against Dice-K tonight. Josh Beckett comes up Sunday, and the last time we faced him we scored 1 run on 2 hits in 7 innings. And, of course, lost.
Meanwhile, the Adam Jones dipsy-doodle continues... Just find a way to let him play, McLaren.
