How sad it is to read this site. I was just trying to see whether or not there was a deciple named Bartholomew and I came across this. The language used here shouldn't be with the name of the Lord. And really, some of the people commenting and claiming to be "Christians", you better re-think what it means to be a Christian. It doesn't just mean "believing in God", there is a way to live along with that and it is called living justly, having mercy, and walking humbly with God, not cussing someone out for offending them. Yes, it was a stupid joke, but obviously the person who did it isn't a Christian, and therefore has no idea what they are doing. And as for those of you who say you ARE Christians, you should know it says right in the Bible that those who don't know the truth are forgiven for their wrongs, but those who DO know the truth and do wrong anyway (ie, the language, judging, and damning you are doing)will have to answer to our Lord. Please! I need the true disciples names! I am just a tweleve year old girl who loves her God and Messiah to no end. As is stated in Isaiah 51:17;
"Awake, awake! Rise up, O Jerusalem, you who have drunk from the hand of the Lord, the cup of his wrath, you who have drained to its dregs the goblet that makes men stagger."
It's saying to not displease the Lord. Those disciples were His friends and brothers, do not joke about who they are!
gee! Some of the people that call themselves christians sure don't sound like it! What's with the "we hope you burn in hell" stuff? That is not at all what christ is about! You guys are confused. Before telling others about Jesus or standing up for him you should know first of all who he is and what he's about. Yeah, ha ha, nice joke with 12 disciples. Don't let people tell you your gonna burn in hell -- and don't think that Christians are condemning because that is not what true Christians are about!
How sad it is to read this site. I was just trying to see whether or not there was a deciple named Bartholomew and I came across this. The language used here shouldn't be with the name of the Lord. And really, some of the people commenting and claiming to be "Christians", you better re-think what it means to be a Christian. It doesn't just mean "believing in God", there is a way to live along with that and it is called living justly, having mercy, and walking humbly with God, not cussing someone out for offending them. Yes, it was a stupid joke, but obviously the person who did it isn't a Christian, and therefore has no idea what they are doing. And as for those of you who say you ARE Christians, you should know it says right in the Bible that those who don't know the truth are forgiven for their wrongs, but those who DO know the truth and do wrong anyway (ie, the language, judging, and damning you are doing)will have to answer to our Lord. For those of you who said those things, you are the people who give Christianity a bad name, and I pray you'll ask for forgivness and mean it. The whole basis of Christianity is to be Christ-like, which means love all people. Period!
