ESPN has an great batch of ugly uniforms to kick off its
Uni Watch Hall of Shame. I can't believe, though, that the Denver Nuggets'
rainbow squad look from the eighties didn't make the initial list. There has never been a worse uniform in any sport, amateur or professional.

Actually, the ESPN crew specifically states...
Just as there's a five-year buffer before a retired baseball player can be elected to the Hall of Fame, let's restrict our list to designs that were introduced prior to 2001 -- designs whose retina-searing putridness, whose disregard for all standards of aesthetic decency, have stood the test of time.
...so the last two World Cups are excluded. Sorry.
What you doing ragging on my childhood team's uniforms! Loved 'em. (To be sure, I didn't have much fashion sense at 13.) If I could afford an Alex English retro uni, I'd buy one. A road uni, of course...the rainbow looked better next to the blue background than next to the white.
