Six months ago I called it a landmark ruling, as the Washington State Supreme Court recognized the rights of de facto parents who meet a rigorous set of legal criteria. (Being straight is not one of them.)
Now, after all this time, the nation's highest court refuses to comment, inaction that is a landmark of its own.
Judicial inactivism. What a beautiful thing.
