Well, toxoplasmosis does seem to drive rats insane...so that they're easily caught by the cats that are the requisite final hosts in the life cycle. You could consider that rat mind control, and you could say that it's being carried out collectively by the microbes. But since they're actually inside the rat while they're doing the mind control, it's more like telecommuting than telepathy.

Dude, MT, I so blogged that before Zimmer got his grimy latex mitts on it. Telepathic toxoplasma would mean avoiding all the shit piles.
