There's a connection between Netflix's offer of $1 million for the best software to recommend movies, and the best way to make bacon, but I have neither the time nor energy to explain it.

    Not even for a million dollars? With that kind of money you could quit your day job and become a teacher like you always dreamed...

    ...and maybe Netflix would stop recommending "Alone in the Dark" to me.
