Why am I awake at 5:15 on a lustrous Saturday? Because it's debate season, silly, which means I'll be gone all day. Sorry, loyal readers (or is it reader? I've lost count); the font of unwisdom is closed for the next day. Your questions will be answered or ignored, your doubts dispelled or reinforced, your misconceptions laid to rest or given a parade upon my return.
Meanwhile, I leave you with this: progress is being made in at least one war.

I'll field this one, since I have the (mis?)fortune of being on the mentee end of our coach/coached relationship. I also have a fondness for posting things.
High school debate. As policy debate is for the insane, public forum for the cocky, we place a great emphasis on L.D and IEs. That being said, our team won 1st in open public forum, and we also took a finalist in open impromtu. And a bunch of novices were on the cusp of winning LD, extemp, and oratory.
